In town visiting family and decided to take a trip to Sam’s Bar & Grill. Walking in right away it was a great atmosphere and we apparently walked in on Karaoke Night which was a great surprise! Although hearing the harmonious singing of Karaoke Night was great, we wanted a more intimate/personal dining experience which we could do in their room to the right which was decorated for the holidays and provided a calmer and more relaxed experience. It was late at night and we weren’t looking for a large meal so we instead ordered appetizers. We got the Sahana Tots and Bang Bang Shrimp which both had delicious flavor and made to order! Would love to come here again in the future when visiting again. Staff and servers were exceptional, and they even were giving out cups on the way out for the holidays.
Went here without a reservation on a Saturday night. Had a short wait but was well worth it. The Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese were great appetizers. The Korean bbq cauliflower was tasty, and the bison brisket sandwich from the specials menu was fantastic. I need that to be added to the menu permanently because I already want to get it again. The drinks were great, and the draft beer selection was extensive. While I don't generally love live music at restaurants, it didn't really detract from the overall great experience, so I'll be coming back. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area.
So far so good. Wait staff was amazing! Super friendly and very attentive. Lots of great beers on tap including ciders. Menu was small but was told it will expand in 2 weeks. Bar area was amazing! Super big TV in the middle with a bunch of smaller TVs around it. Food was amazing, especially the shrimp app! Wings were on steroids and had lots of flavor. The burger was huge and the bun was super soft! Can’t wait for the full menu in a few weeks!
Really great service, and super accommodating! Very extensive draft beer selection. The food was excellent, highlights being the burrata and firecracker shrimp appetizers, and the salmon, fried green tomato BLT, and tuna poke bowl entrees. If you're leaving the Highlands Natural Pool, which is right down the street, then this is the spot to go to for some post-swimming grub! The shrimp appetizer was delicious, and our main courses were tasty and filling. They offer a nice selection of beers, and have outdoor seating. Our waitress (didn't catch her name unfortunately) was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Definitely recommended!
Sam’s Bar & Grill absolutely delivered an incredible experience this past Saturday. The blackened steak was out of this world, cooked perfectly rare, which is very hard to execute properly, but they nailed it. The flavor, the sear, the tenderness… spot on. And the pretzel… the owner jokes that it’s “small,” but trust me, it’s the biggest pretzel I’ve ever seen, and it honestly tasted like I was sitting in Germany. Perfectly baked, warm, and paired perfectly with the dips. I asked for extra mustard, because I wanted to gobble it up with a spoon. I also had to try the build your own mac and cheese that I saw featured on North Jersey Eats, chefs 😘. Completely lived up to the hype and there was so much we got to enjoy it again later at home. Comfort food taken to another level. Between the food, atmosphere, and attention to detail, this place continues to impress. Highly recommend.
First time visiting and my husband and I absolutely love this place. Unfortunately I did not take any photos of our food but I had a delicious brisket sandwich w/fries and my husband had the smash burger quesadilla - both were amazing. They have a nice outdoor patio and live music. We'll definitely come back! Highly recommend!!
We stopped in on our way to go hiking and this is going to be a regular stop any time we're in the area. The service was fast and efficient and Gabby was wonderful. There was a great selection of drinks and the Key Lime beer really hit the spot. There were so many amazing menu options that we had a hard time picking. We wound up ordering the Brussels sprouts app (ah-mazing!), the Timmy wrap, and the chicken/bacon ranch mac n cheese. Every single item was absolutely delicious. Fresh food, generous portions, and piping hot. Highly recommend this spot to anyone! Bonus- lots of parking and outdoor seating as well. This may be a weird thing to add in a review, but even the bathrooms had a great vibe! Love the decor and fancy sink. Everything was sparkly clean as well.
If you’re looking for the best Taco Tuesday, margaritas, and casual dining in Ringwood, NJ, you have to check out Sam’s Bar & Grill. Their margaritas, piña coladas, and strawberry daiquiris are absolutely top notch. I eat out all over North Jersey, and I can honestly say they have the best margaritas within a 50 mile radius. The Alambre is a must try. It’s loaded with flavor and cooked perfectly every time. The portions are generous, the food is consistently delicious, and the prices are more than fair compared to anywhere else around. What really sets Sam’s apart is the service. Dana is an incredible server who is friendly, attentive, and made our experience even better. Courtney, the General Manager, also stopped by our table to check on everyone and make sure everything was perfect. That level of hands on management and genuine hospitality is hard to find these days. From the amazing food and handcrafted cocktails to the outstanding service and welcoming atmosphere, Sam’s Bar & Grill delivers every time. If you’re looking for one of the best restaurants in Ringwood, NJ, this is the place. Highly recommended!
I had the salmon and cookie it was delicious. Great friendly service. Reasonable prices. My only complaint is if you go late they try to rush you do to events like they were setting up line dancing while tables were still eating. So go earlier!
